Default EDR 2020?, I wonder....

...what will be a traditional bike by then.

EDR07, 2007,007,07-07-07...lot's of lucky 7's this year and "Year of the Bike" on the Chinese calender placemat thingy at the buffet and for ME!
While all of you with talent(that i aint got) were building cool shit this summer, I was out riding kind of an older 82'FXWG wideglide to the newer West coast and Mexico/EDR'07 from Texas. Then for three weeks and 5000 miles in June I rode a newer 2000 FXDWG wideglide to the older east coast to Laconia/Canada for the last leg of my '007 Endless Summer coast to coast border to border get my head straight tour.
Anyway between the white stripes I started wondering if my 2000 FXDWG would be old enough, retro enough, traditional enough and hip enough to ride to EDR 2020 which got me to wondering three things...1.how old does does a Harley have to be to be "Traditional" and 2. When will an EVO be "retro" and 3.what other "head" motors will they have by then?
A bit of probably incorrect history is in order first( I am sure the JJ"rs will politly correct if wrong but you get the flow) shows that:

?-? peashooterhead
?-? JDtwinhead
?-? Flathead
'36-'47 Knucklehead
'48-'66 Panhead
'66-'84 Shovelhead
'84-'99 Evo(lution) Evohead? squarehead?
'99-? twin cam Fathead or blockhead-never caught on
'2002? who cares-who cares? Revo(lution) porshewaterhead
Which brings us to date and what happens between now and EDR 2020:

2009-2012 Dickhead ?
2012-2015 Circumsizedickhead?
2015-2018 Safehead?
2018-2020 Igivehead?

The EPA Cunthead regs necessitating increasingly rapid old head removal and new head insertions. hmmm...sounds like someone getting fucked...

Anyway, my original question...Can I and will it be cool to ride my 2000 FXDWG(1st yr 103"stroker flywheel, big bore, ported heads and hemi combustion chambers, squished 11:1 compression, 585 lift gear drive S&S cam, roller rockers,S&S reed valve,45mm mikuni, stump pullin haulin ass smooth and cool runnin dos cam) to EDR2020 AND can I EVER be seen in Public riding my 2005...get ready haters here it comes... EVO(96" S&S Stroker);SOFTTAIL;DNA SPRINGER;FLYRITE or am I doomed to remain a closet scooter/fatchick thing unhip kinda guy?!
Please help me with my understanding.
Thanks,
Confused
p.s. That JMC Aluminum Swing arm is like the one on the cover of a current bike mag on a swing arm Shovel which adds to my confusion since I have been running mine for 7-8 years.

First off, my friend, it is dangerous to sit up this late at night and contemplate what head we might have coming from HD. You know they have perfected the art of fucking us with just enough "head" that we continue, at some level, to support them. I am scaring myself, now!!!
As to the point about the Dyna, hmmmm.....
Having ridden the second half of the "Epiphany Run" with you, if that scalded ape can make it to 2020, it deserves to be parked on the beach in Ensenada.
More important at this juncture is the transformation of the EDR07 shovelhead. Don't let a minor motor malfunction distract you from the cool shit we have bantered. That bike has alot of potential and between the two of us, we can cause the powers that be to re-evaluate traditional COOL!!
Look out! There is a new dog in the yard!

Pull over, hands behind your head spreadum and I will tell you... No not a Police bike and not a policeman here although I feel like it with two teenage boys and keeping Brokedowngeorge out of trouble riding to Laconia, just a bmwr1200rt. It wants to be a supermoto or Panhead though.
I am an equal opportunity two wheeled rider.
Everybody needs at least three bikes:
one to go fast
one to go far
and one to cruise/barhop kinda thingy

Thanks, I like your "high and tight do" on the 45 pic!

That's what I like about Trent...a man of few words, no brag-just fact, the crystal clear clarity of connecting cerebral consciousness and common sense resulting in a simple wisdom that emerges from shedding the serpents skin and stranglehold of political correctness...and an american hero to boot! hehehe

I do want to change the "Suspect" bike up though and I think that might be its new name.
I need to measure the front springer, because those frames are low. I was thinking a Cole Foster tank I got on ebay, maybe a 110 19 on the front and sumptin sumptin.

Oh I forgot to mention it has the dreaded pipe wrap and red wheels also in my post, haha.....It is fun to ride though.
Planning to come to the "Non Bike Show" Chopper Throw Down. I"ll bring that RV trailer and take back the KTM...heheheh
