Default Trumpet vs Pan

Cheers all! ...beer tasts insanely good tonight
Oh well, i`m looking to buy a running bike (as my prosjects will never be done this summer.., due to my double pregnant wife).
I have a couple of options, but i`m leaning towards one of these two:
1959 Duoglide - love the pan, but its on the more expensive side of what i was thinking:

Or this 1969 Triumph - the cheaper one, at under half the price of the pan, nice old patina and a strong runner:

What do you think? im tearing apart....

I say get the pan, but if you want to save some coins incase you come across a good deal get the trumpet, leave you with some pocket money for a few things. (I have not seen the pics dont load at work.)

The statement above pretty much sums it up if I were in your shoes.

You will never regret having bought the pan, and if you don't, you'll think back and wish you had.

i prefer triumphs over harleys riding wise. i like the lighter/quicker style. that being said, i think the devil is in the details. what has been rebuilt? if you don't know the history of the triumph you can assume you'll need to clean out the sludge trap eventually. you might end up spending more in the long run with a rebuild if you can't do it yourself.

Exactly my thoughts too.. i`ll have to sleep it over. But i need a runner quickly. Cant stand goofing around in a stupid car...
Using lots of money, or only almost lots...thats the question.
Btw; this is another bike that is/was in my thoughts. Cheaper than the pan, but not sure if its a good choice for a daily driver.
Its located a couple of hours away in Sweden, and it sure is a nice bike! Have been looking at several other Triumphs, pans and shovels...but either they are to far away, or the price is way to high.

Btw; thanks for all the input guys, looks like you help me become a very broke dad (but still a happy one)...
