What's wrong with people. Can't they see how that looks. What happened to the design process????

Same this happens with music, clothing, style, etc.

The Japanese come up with Brat style and hone it to a fine aesthetic edge...but in the years it takes to sift it's way down to the yokels in US suburbs, the look is a bastardized crappy version of itself.

It's not just that specific little style- type in "Bobber" in the motorcycle section of craigslist and see what happens. I think it comes from people not knowing what/ how much work goes into a bike they see and like, and them not knowing how to do the little work they think goes into it. Compounded by the fact that they made it and think it's worth the same as any other handmade bike (or are using the keyword Bobber to sucker someone else that doesn't have a clue). Thus the $2000 hacked up piece of crap.

you're right in that ''different doesn't mean shit!'' ....
But Badly exicuted and dangerous IS shit......
we all started somewhere,
we all made mistakes in our youth,
but I hope that part of this process is learning how to do something well and to the best of your abilitys.
I see plenty of shit being ridden around but they don't last long, they blow up,catch fire, fall apart or get impounded by the law.
but all the best made parts, put together by the best engineers in the world don't count for squat if whoever builds something has NO IDEA of style or design.....for proof of this look at OCC and Jessy janes!!
I have also seen bikes put together for only a few hundred Pounds or Dollars that have got it just right, these are the people who I wanna see build more and more bikes in the years to come......

Rant over....Carry on!!!......hahahahahaha

I resemble that remark also, living in Seattle in the early 70's I wore this quite a bit with my 3/4 helmet. Only way to keep warm.. Yea though this guy looks like a poser

CL keeps on giving. As spotted by my daughter, who is currently in Taiwan.

I did this and came up with some beauts:

And in the midst of all of it, I find this for $8500:

The 45 has right hand shaft tanks . That one would be worth looking at.

Always thought there was 3 reasons

1. Weather when riding (really cold, rain)

2. Being in a public place like a bike show and hanging with crew you are not allowed to associate with due to bail conditions etc knowing the popo or others have cameras there

3. In the commission of a crime

Not profiling down town on your "murdered out" 2013 sportster "bobber" with the high lift tank wearing your "club cut" vest.
