I have a slimline frame that once housed (coincidentally) a 65XLCH power plant. However the frame was modified by welding a section of a sportster frame and reenforcing the swing arm gusset. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of room for a "bolt in" section, but who knows.

any one got pictures of the rear mount?

could just bolt a 3/8 plate inplace of sportster rear mout and make spacers to bolt to stock norton mounts.

Wish I had a close up pic. Eliminated the stock mount and sandwiched three pieces of 1/2" aluminum plate together with some spacers. Please don't ask me for any more details. My memory sucks.

Nevermind the generation I non-functional exhaust (first try with a MIG), you can see a bit of the rear mount in this pic.

When I started putting mine together in the late 1990's/early 2000s, NO ONE was doing it. My original plan was to build a period I (pre-1967) vintage roadracer. I first tried squeezing a 1200 evo into it but found the rear rocker box won't squeeze between the rails on a slimline frame. I searched long and had for information. All I found was a company in Australia selling featherbed framed XR1000s. I contacted them about motor mounts and they offered to sell me a set for some unbelievably fucking high price. Glad to see so many now - just wish I had access to all this information over a decade ago. By the time I had finished it, I was so sick of it that I couldn't stand looking at it anymore. Parted company soon after. I didn't know a whole lot back then and would have had better luck today now that my knowledge and tool collection have grown considerably.
