Default Motorsickle ride (pictures inside)

Spent the better part of this Saturday riding around Lake George via Rt 17, a ferry crossing, a dirt road and Rt 19 with a few guys from the JJ board.

We left from Ace Cycles in Sanford at about 8:00am:

Headed up on around Lake George and got turned around in a coupla spots looking for some interesting side roads.

Ended up at this ferry crossing:

Rode about 6-7 miles of dirt road to the next paved section:

Got a few comments along the way:

Stopped at a local dive in Umattila, a great greasy lunch and headed on back... it was a perfect day and I'm looking forward to the next one!

I'm so sorry I couldn't join you fellas I had to play a gig in Jacksonville.
Count me in on the next one, let's do the Ocala National Forest, it's beautiful.

We missed you Nads!

Yea, there was some discussion about that... looks like some really nice roads along the west side of the National Forest area. Might be a good idea.

What an excellent day....great trip with some new friends on roads I've never traveled. Lunch at a mom and pop restaurant in one of the many small towns we rode through. All without the "souvenier coupon" that I thought we all were going to be issued. Been in orlando for almost a year, and this is my first time seeing roads without cars!!! perfect....I'm ready for the next one.

Hey Hatch, glad to see you made it home OK... thanks for hanging out with us for the day. I'm already looking at some routes for the next ride.

We'll prolly hear from BostonMike after he gets all the sand out of his beard.

Hey guys, that's it. I'm ordering the 6 speed for my FXR Monday and starting to plan some road trips. It's what scooters are all about.
Thanks for the inspiration.

CA180,
No offense but if you're in Tulsa, this is a day trip for you.

Well, it's not right across the street, but I think it's around 150 miles from Tulsa. Look up Talimena Drive. Lots of good scenery in eastern Oklahoma. Check out some of the bigger lakes around there, they're pretty neat.

i just want to say big thanks to Boondocker for setting the ride up! Hopefully we can turn it into a monthly thing or at the very least "Boondockers Annual Tour of the Boondocks" the ride was awesome, the weather was perfect, and it was a blast riding and shooting the shit with you guys for the day.

you just have to get out of Tulsa, i took the new bike to stillwater on highway 51, and it was great. right along the lake.

i think tulsa is great, sure it doesnt offer mountains or the ocean, but you show me a better town around here.

although their ride does look like fun. nice pics.
