I like the old version better with the smaller tank and fender. With Triumphs, I think "less is more" in terms of tanks and fenders. I hope you stashed the old magneto somewhere. And what happended to the frame? First, it doesn't look like a 71 frame...did you swap it with a pre-OIF model? Also, in the old pic, it looks heavily molded, but in the new pic, the headstock looks clean...is it a different frame or did you de-mold it? Good luck...

is there a bike hidden under those tanks and the fender? less stops for fuel i guess, but i also like the tank from 77.

Kinda looks like deep down inside you'd rather have a harley.

+1 on the smaller tank, but I'd go even smaller then the one in '77. Seriously, where'd the mag go? And was that a Wassell fender on it in '77? Please say you still have both. I'd put the stoc mids back on too if it were me.

haha, my thoughts exactly. plus, i wouldnt put all that extra weight on an already power lacking bike. seems like you would want to bob it and take more off.

some nice components in there though, hope you like it.

What are the plans for it? I see no one asked that obvious question after you stated you were waiting for an infusion of cash. Did your ship come in? How is it now?

No big infusion of cash yet. I'm retiring in a few months and will have time to start fabricating again. The forks are the next steps. I have to sort out the pile of parts from the other bikes and find some things that will work. The electric system comes next. Time will tell.

I'm pulling some things out of the back of the shop tomorrow. I think I can get enough to at least get it riding around the yard without too much cash.
