Default Tank molding question

Question for you painters out there.....
I'm not a paint and body guy by any stretch but I figured what the hell and try my hand at molding in some round rod on a sporty tank. Now the question, I'm curious as to what size rod you guys would recommend ? I'm not trying to get too obnoxious with it but I don't want to go to small either.

1/4" seems to be standard, although I've seen smaller. Anything over 3/8" would probably be a little "loud".

I would adjust it to the overall size of the tank. A massive tank could make a larger rod look OK. A smaller tank would want smaller rod. I would rather err on the side of small!

Yep, 1/4 inch is what all the professionals use. Works out great.
