Default Bonneville pictures

Just got in from my Bonneville weekend. Thought everyone might like to see my pictures, mostly bikes with various cars thrown in and some surrounding area pics. Enjoy!

I tried to talk to those guys but they were from France and knew very little english. I do know that tech was making them put a cover over the open primary, they were working on it while I watched.

I talked with the lowbrow guys on Friday but never saw them run. They had 3 tracks set up this year, 2 long and one short, the 2 long started from the same place, the short started a few miles up and around from the other 2, so they all ended in the same place i guess. I'll bet those guys ran on the short track which I never made it over to.

Just returned from Bonneville as well...great time. I was fortunate enough to tag along with some veterans of the salt and snapped a shitload of pics. I've got them all loaded up on my Flickr site in high resolution. You can check them out here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/

There are pics of the trip into Bonneville, the salt flats pits and starting line and the cars in the lot at the Wendover Nugget on Saturday night.

I also shot some video at the starting line including Wes from Four Aces. I will have to figure out how to post on youtube first though.

Here are a few bike pics...

The Four Aces / Lowbrow pit area

Chopper parked near the combo course

Leslie Porterfield, world's fastest woman...on a motorcycle

BSA 650...if I heard the radio right, the motor siezed up during the run

Simply, the best looking Triumph OIF I've ever seen (lots more pics on my Flickr site)

check out all the mods on the motor cases

Sweet Moto Guzzi

Nice little Triumph 250

Norton 750

I'm pretty sure a seized motor at speed must be the ultimate suck. hopefully dude clutched in and made it out ok.

Anyone here have information on that black OIF Triumph? I must've taken a dozen or more pics of it...beautiful and well made. Not often that you see an OIF hardtail, let alone one done as well as this one. It was running a TR6C motor and the left side case was modified quite a bit to expose the primary drive. I'd like to know more about that bike...

I'm pretty sure that bike was one of the winners at the SOW. It should be in "The Horse" fairly soon.

It was an old 500cc Rudge ohv from the 1920's
He was having some timing issues out on the salt and couldn't get it to run to its fullest.

I know the feeling, We spent 4 of our days out there trying to figure out why our HD Hummer was only going a mile then dieing.

Long story short, it was vapor lock. Carb was getting too hot. Made a heat shield out of a turkey pan. Got a record.
