There's a lot of 'bikes as art' here, but I guess it's like haute couture is to clothes.Gotta love that red Pan, and first class photography!

The Red Pan is a nice bike, but the springer is tooooooo long for the bike. Simply put, the frame needs some rake or a shorter springer !

Anyway, that Shovel just does it for me. It's just plain bad f'n ass !

Jon you are just tooooooo far east to dig that NorCal Style that also happened here in the Southland.

BUT since it is a custom show of machines tailored to their particular owners there really is no right or wrong or good or bad - within reason of course.

That bike style could have come right out of Denvers in the late 60's. Perfect example of a early long bike.

Hey, fellers,
I tried to capture a cross section of the bikes I saw. I certainly photo'd the bikes I liked*, but I also tried to get a bunch of the ones that were just unusual or otherwise remarkable. I won't argue with any of the opinions expressed here! As I was looking around & taking my pics it crossed my mind more than once that, "Hey, this bike could be a candidate for the 'Ugly/Funny' bike thread". I won't tell you which ones those were for me!
Anyway, I'm glad folks appreciated the pics. It was a fun event & I'm glad I went. Can't be all bad if you're hanging around with a couple hundred thousand like minded bike nuts & ogling wild & crazy customs.
*Confession: my favorite was the KR...

Oh, one more comment:
That pink XL was about 5 feet tall! I took one "selfie" of the bike with me standing next to it to try to give some perspective, but I'm 6'5" & it just didn't quite do the trick. Anyway, if there was an award for the tallest bike it woulda won it hands down!
