Default Triumph Box Mainshaft Oil Leak

running open belt primary and oil is getting sprayed out around mainshaft, i'll go in and replace oil seal . but are there any engineered fixes like putting in an 'O' ring between main shaft and the final drive bush?. That thing has always seemed a bit sketchy on all Triumphs as it seems to wear quite badly and also 'walk' out.

I think the oring thing could be done I thought about making a cap with an oil seal in it .
I reduced my oil level and run a modern oil
(One that is ok for “gold” metals)
I have a moist area but no dripping.

I was thinking of something along the lines of the HD modification but that was with the 'super nut' with seal. It's that long main shaft bush that has always seemed a little hokey to me. Gotta think how to modify that.
