Smile triumph tiger cub bobber

hi, here are some pictures of my first attempt at building a custom motorcycle, my bike of choice is a 1958 triumph t20 tiger cub 200cc single, as i have never seen one done in bobber style, hope you enjoy!

before work started.... i think it was just a standard tiger cub that sumone had botched together to make it a trials, soo, none of the nuts and bolts matched up and each one was a different size and thread pitch, metric, imperial and everything in between

not sure what kind of speed she'll do, maybe 65-70mph, not really been built with speed in mind.

Cool Re: triumph tiger cub bobber

That is really cool, thanks for sharing that

I believe it was around 2001-2002 that David "Englishman" Gregory, if memory serves me right, from The Horse magazine built a custom Triumph 250 which was cool too.

I really like the idea you had to make a rigid for it and it looks great. Good job turning an old single into a badass custom bike !

Well it takes some balls to do something different, not all the bikes can be restored to like when they came off the assembly line.

Hey Wil, I like that bike. We put one together back in 1970 out of misc. Cub parts that looked an awful lot like yours. It was an absolute blast to putt around on and everybody loved it. They used to call us sorry f*cks back then too .

Geo.

Great little pub hopper. I'll admit that I have a great fascination with small displacement bikes.

Question. What size is the rear tire? I'll have to say though, I've never quite been a fan of the metal pan for a seat though.

Wil,

What is the official color that you used on this bike ? I am thinking about painting one of my bikes a maroon (ish) color and yours looks like it's spot on.

Also interested in the reactions you have received riding it around so far ?

there have been a few bugs, not mine tho, my dads. i've only just started out with this being my first project. i would like to do a volks rod tho.
as for the tail light it's just an old lucas one of my dads that happened to be lying around in my garage, which was handy

I believe whichever line enter the frnt most part of the motor is the feed and the line towards the rear is the return

according to manuel..rocker line is on return side...

just went and took a look...sitting on your bike the line closest to center ( or your left ) would be the return and feed line to the rockers...d32
