Can anyone tell me the stock length of the front forks for a 1969 xlh and how to measure it?

tube lengths

http://franksforks.com/products/harl...on-fork-tubes/
This may help.
https://www.rbracing-rsr.com/forklength2.html
Tube lengths
33mm [extended tube and slider] 27/28'' sag 2'' tube 21''/22''
35mm [top of tube to C/L of axle] 29'' sag 1.5'' tube 23.5''
sag is with stock rake
Approximately 7'' to 8'' of tubes are in the slider when on wheels, this by no coincidence is about the distance between the triple trees.
Not a exact thing but the axle C/L to bottom of lower tree is about the same as tube length. If you are going over, add 2'' to over for 36 to 40 degree rake.
More angle needs more hypotenuse.
Be warned a little more is better than not enough over.
