Well Ive used a few different brands of brake shoes in my rear drum. I am wondering which ones seem to work the best for you guys, brand and why? Ive used Vtwin, J&P, and Preston, and they all seem to crap out after they get hot. Increased brake fade over time. My pan is fairly lighter than stock, and I only run a rear brake, I had the same issues wth a wide glide drum on the front. Thanks for the advice in advance, pic for attention. CJ

I think CookieMonster used a co' to reline his shoes with material used for fork lift truck shoes?. May not have been super hard wearing but gave lots of feel. That's where I'm going for my replacements.

Are you saying your liners delaminate from the metal shoe?
