Re: What's with this Yank boardtracker?!

I'd think with a modified WL frame and an Indian trailing link fork, you'd be on your way. 21's front and rear. Tank would probably be the hardest part having clearance for the heads.

Re: Anyone make stainless front spindles for 39mm 1998 narrow glide?

So grab the new OEM axle and replace the wheel bearings to fit. Done and done.

Re: Dual DC Linkert setup finally done

Thanks for the link! Any idea what the holder would look like? I can't just thread these directly into the bowl (assuming I drill/tap). What prevents leak from the tickler- bowl interface? Fiber...

Re: Dual DC Linkert setup finally done

Chevelle- it's a true dual runner intake.

Frenchowl- thanks for the info. I'm going to add crossover line (had already planned to). Can you tell me a part number or source for the Amal tickler...

Re: Dual DC Linkert setup finally done

The motor doesn't exist yet. I'm planning a build around this setup and have been for some time. Probably genny shovel. While they're are overbored carbs, individually they are 40mm so probably not...

Re: compression release valves

The Sputhe units are great. Ran very well on my 95" TC. Question- you really seem to be over engineering the situation at hand here. The sole purpose of the releases are to drop compression a bit to...

Re: Dual DC Linkert setup finally done

Highcomp- definitely.
Kaman- not sure yet. Probably stacks just to save leg room but I might be able to build something suitable. With no chokes (the DC's choke was built into the air cleaner) I'll...

Lightbulb Dual DC Linkert setup finally done

I was finally able to connect with a few folks that could help make late evenings staring at old diagrams and a pile of NOS parts still wrapped in 60's newspapers all while drinking fancy whisky...

Re: Davonport Antique MC swapmeet - need a frame brought home to Calif.

ups can (or at least used to) ship frames with nothing more than a shipping tag affixed to them. I gad a sporty paughco rigid arrive just fine way back in the day. Greyhound does it to as above.

Re: Powder coating VS Painting a frame

If you're trying to remove powder from an entire part or frame, just take it back to the powder shop. They have the oven required to cook the finish off (just hotter than baking it on). A lot less...

Re: Found a WICO magneto

John Deere and Caterpillar used Wico mags. Judging by the yellow paint, yours came from a Cat or possibly an industrial JD. Here's a handy reference for the XH series:...

Re: Linkert 74b won't lean out way to rich

The brass floats are easy enough to check. Get a container that the float fits into. Fill I with gas. Hold the float under the gas for a minute. Did it fill up? Yes- your float leaks; No- your...

Re: Firestone tread selection

I ran those same tires (450-19's) on my pan; front and back. As long as uoy understand that they're not Avon performance tires or the like, you'll be ok. I never saw any 'vintage' tread designs in a...

Re: Panhead distributor w/STD heads

Were it me, I'd pull the head. It not hard to do and doesn't involve permanent damage to your motor. Someone down the road will thank you for doing it right the first time. I hate it when I come...

Re: Vintage Unity light into usable hi-low headlamp

Nice retrofit. For those of you wanting to run a sealed bulb as opposed to an H4, the standard HD 5 3/4" drops right in.

Re: Who makes custom pistons

$360 plus shipping doesn't sound all that bad as compared to paying someone to tool up and machine you 4-6 min. Payments to Europe are easy.

Re: thanks for having me

Looks like a Pingle Guzzler with a 90* fitting. I ran the same petcock on my TC. No reserve, on/off.
