Actually. Just went out to the garage and took another look at the head and inside the exhaust port where the leak was coming from looks like the valve guide is leaking... tried to take a pic of it....

Got some new gaskets so will look up the method and replace this weekend... Keeping fingers crossed! Appreciate everyone's feedback. Cheers!

Smoke was coming out of exhaust port (inside yellow circle). Was also “spitting” tiny drops of oil too... 🤔

Thank you for the thoughts. Gaskets did not look bad... hence the confusion on my end.




Agree, as insert that the pipe and clamps seat over on head was loose on that side when I tore down....

Almost forgot, I also re-curved the kicker lever too, I never have liked how unit levers point back at that angle. Maybe I am just used to the pre-unit lever that comes to rest in a vertical...
