Re: Stolen pre-unit returned after 46 years

Very interesting thread.

I think a great many of us in the hobby have built bikes from components parts. I have always felt that starting with "good bones" a person can build what they like.

Re: 1958 Norton Nomad Project

Randy Baxter is a good friend of mine. I actually knew Randy before Baxter Cycle started.

I think Randy can help with some parts. But not all.

Seems like Skip has good knowledge and resources...

Re: 1958 Norton Nomad Project

The fender pictured is a 60's AMC CS fender. Similar but different.

The Nomad fender was flared on both ends.

Thank you for posting.

Re: 1958 Norton Nomad Project

Yes, DEFINITELY a challenge! Makes a person wonder where in the world those parts disappear to over the years.

I guess I am fortunate to have the bones of the bike in that numbers match.

Am...

Re: 1958 Norton Nomad Project

A friend of mine has owned this project for about 25 years. I thought he had sold a long time ago, but when I asked him about it last Saturday I was surprised to find he still had in one of his...

Re: 1958 Norton Nomad Project

My big concern is finding parts. I understand only 350 were made between 1958 and 1960. The suppliers I have contacted already simply say "good luck"!

I am hoping that someone has the parts I...

Re: 1956 triumph tr5r trophy -registry

Thanks Tony!

I may already have this one, but need to verify.

If you can pass this on to your friend, that would be great.

1956 triumph tr5r trophy -registry

I am trying to build a 1956 Triumph TR5R owners registry with help from forum friends.

The 1956 Triumph TR5R Trophy, Daytona Special, was the brainchild of Johnson Motors and was sold in 1956...

Need help identifying fork legs.

Can anyone help identify these fork legs? Received in with other parts and don't recognize what they are. Thought someone on the board might recognize.

Thanks!

Re: New member from Iowa

I'm afraid to say that I don't have anything too interesting in the way of H-D products. Have some late model stuff that my kids ride!

Wish I had back some of the old stuff I had back in the 60s....

Re: BSA? Triumph? What frame is this!?

Not Matchless or AJS. I have 1951 through 1967 models. Have both singles and twins. Not even close.

Good luck identifying. I am curious to what it is!

Hello Jockey Journal members. I have surfed the board for awhile and finally decided to join in.

I have owned and been working on motorcycles since the mid 60's.

My first bike was a 1963 BSA...

Re: 1955 Triumph T100/R Dirt-tracker

Very interesting thread. The 1955 T100/R is a beautiful bike.

My brother and I are rebuilding two 1956 TR5Rs. There were 112 built for export to the US. 76113 through 76224. One additional...
