Re: My Shovelhead is ticking when NOT running
Sure sounds like a sticking valve to me. Maybe you could kick it over slowly and see if you get play in the pushrods and if they tighten up as you hear it clicking. A cylinder leakage test would be...

Re: Proper sealing pre-unit Triumph gearboxes?
Be sure all of the surfaces are super clean and dry before using any sealer. Brake clean or rubbing alcohol works best. I also have always used brown permatex or indian head shelac on any threaded...

Re: pre unit rear axle spacer question
The inner bearing races should already be touching the distance spacer. Maybe try driving the bearings in a little more, especially on the rt side. Should not pull them in by tightening the nuts.

Re: pre unit rear axle spacer question
The spacer is there so you can place full torque on the nuts and will not bind on your bearings. Should bottom out on your inner bearing races without binding your bearings.

Re: help - pre unit swing arm gear box fitment
I think I would do some investigating and find the root cause of the misalignment. May have to do a little pulling or tweaking on the frame to get it right. I dont think I would like it being under...

Wow... what a friggen nightmare that was JCS. Wonder if there is a way to get these numbers run. I tried the local state police before on another vin number and felt like I got the blow off a little.
