Detroit Dorals Park Velodrome?
A friend just linked me to this article (http://jalopnik.com/5631873/racing-motorcycles-on-detroits-lost-velodrome) about how some enterprising Detroiters are reusing an abandoned bicycle track for...

Re: XLCH Hardtail progress pictures.
Great looking bike.
Stupid question, but is an 18-inch rim stock on the rear of a Sportster, or did you adapt it from something else? I've been browsing my parts catalogues and all I've found...

Re: What's the story with these wheel covers?
Thanks Destralo, that's exactly the kind of information I was looking for.
Apparently not, makes me think that those modern solid wheels would look good painted black with some cocentric red...

Zündapp KS 750 questions.
1) Any idea how the frames and forks are constructed on these? It looks almost like a stamping.

2) Is...

Re: Intro post
I just saw my first TX750 in a junkyard the other day. I love the non-finned cylinder head. I'd love to build a bobber around one.

Re: The Art of the Motorcycle *pics*
Some gorgeous bikes there. I saw pictures of this exhibit before, when it was in Sturgis or Milwaukee maybe? I take it this is a traveling exhibit. I wonder if they'll ever come to Michigan.

Re: schwinn handlebars?
Those are cool looking bars, but my concern would be that it seems ape hangers are going to exert a lot more leverage on the same area as a shorter bar, so maybe to be safe apes have to be a thicker...

Re: motorized bicycles
I'm suprised Fat Hack hasn't chimed in here. He's got a B&S powered girl's bike.
Personally, though, I'd rather see the bike restored and something homebuilt produced in its place. One more...

Re: Details on the 45 Magnum?
Probably ought to. The thing is, whenever I start planning a Sportster build, I end up using so many 45 parts it seems silly not to be building a 45.
Picture this with a Sportster engine:

Details on the 45 Magnum?
I'm real interested in the 45 Magnum conversion. Looking around using the search feature, it doesn't appear like a lot of us have attempted this one but maybe some Lurkers or new people will chime...

Re: Springers
Yes, but you have to move the rockers to the outside (bigtwin style) and can't run a 45 fender. 45 Parts Depot offers a conversion for this - email them about it, they're super cool. Also, check...

Re: What's a J.A.P.?
Saw that one comin'. :D Don't they have a word for "rake" in Japanese? I mean, hell, I like bobbers with 28* rake, but that's ridiculous.
Oranje, that bike is awesome! Thanks for the pic.
