Re: MM74E Problems No fire.....
I have a suspicion that most people hate their magneto because they weld on the bike with the magneto mounted and mess up the magnet. I had a lot of problems until I had mine remagnitized at an...

Re: Panhead VIN help...FLP???
Does it have a title matching the numbers? What state are you in? In CA I would hard pass, but somewhere a bit more relaxed I would take it with title, at a lower price of course.

Re: Requesting help with 94 evo rigid build
Hey man, good luck with your build. If I were you I would take detailed videos of what problems you are experiencing and put them on youtube then link in you posts. Photos are fine, but if you have a...

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Frame was originally straightened by Dr Johns in Anaheim.
So I looked at the bike for the first time since the breakdown, I usually need a cooling off period after getting it home. The damage is...

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Once I sheared a cotter pin, next time the rod snapped, this time the anchor sheared from the backing plate and engaged the brake on the freeway. It was a Paughco, had it for two or three years.

Re: Bicycle brakes on choppers
Ive seen hidden master cylinders before, cable actuated, but it is hard to do so without planning it for the build to begin with. For instance I would need to fab a mount to the frame and build or...

Bicycle brakes on choppers
I’ve seen a couple old photos of choppers that have bike brakes on the front as a way to skirt legal requirements or just to hold the bike on a hill for foot clutch bikes. As with my recent...

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Hey guys, yeah, the axles are supposed to be the same, but I also prefer the way the big blocky early one looks.
Mike, hugely grateful for the offer but I already had a buddy order one of the...

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
I have the dual cam front brake drum on the springer from Cannonball. It barely holds me on a hill, bought it brand new. I'm not opposed to keeping the rear mechanical if it would be more reliable...

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Hear all of this, but a disk up front is the most detrimental to a classic look imo. It would also add a large unsightly reservoir to my handlebars that I would have to stare at all ride every ride....

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Could be. I was always curious about this gap. It squeezes in the axle plates when I tighten it down and there is no play, but still thought it was odd. The axle isnt long enough to secure if I had a...

Re: Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Havent seen a nice way to anchor them without welding on the frame that allows the stud enough free room for chain adjustment. Also would potentially need to widen the axle space from what I have...

Disk Brake Conversion on Wishbone Frame
Hello, been a while since I posted here. Yesterday was the second time I broke the linkage on my mechanical rear. Both times I was lucky enough to not be in any traffic, both times were minutes after...

Re: where to buy blank rims?
I used to see undrilled NOS Akronts on eBay all the time. Should be able to find any rim style you want I'd think.

Re: Hard Case Saddlebag on Rigid Frame
It's just to cover the first mounting holes I drilled that did not work. I plan to get some short bolts and washers to plug those up with after I test this out for a bit and make sure it will work.

Re: Hard Case Saddlebag on Rigid Frame
So here's where we are at. I realized I could just use old fender mounts, which I had two of, and I dont plan to carry too much weight, so just the two should do. I originally mounted it too far...
