I assume you are missing both stops or you would know which way they go in. They screw in from the bottom and are a RH thread. Is yours missing the top and bottom? They usually snap off the top thin...

Finally got the sludge trap plug out. This was an SOB to get out. It took 10 minutes with the BFH and the impact to turn it 360°. Another 5 or so to get the next 360° and then I put the 1/2" air...

I do powder coating for a living, so yes I remember what color it is. It is called Original Sun Gold with a clear coat on top. I use it a lot by itself or as a metallic base for Candy Red.
