Re: Chopper legos part duex

Yes, a mag fires both plugs at the same time. I happen to have a mag sitting on the bench so I hooked it up and spun it. Low rpm the spark is white and consistent on both plugs. Spin it faster and...

Re: Chopper legos part duex

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I do this to see if a mag is making a good spark. I welded two spark plugs together, hook up the plug wires and spin the mag using the appropriate...

Re: shovelhead joe hunt mag question

Look at the Hunt website, the advance mag cone is different it doesn't have the screw in the side and the drive Frankenfab has is not part of the advance set up. So the drive from some other setup...

Re: shovelhead joe hunt mag question

The auto advance is a base like the one you have that is thicker because of the advance mechanism. I think what Jaws was saying is that possibly someone replaced the auto advance with the base for a...

Re: shovelhead joe hunt mag question

It looks like the auto advance unit has the same screw, but it's on the back instead of the side. Maybe, it's an early non-auto advance that's missing a few parts. What is the threaded hole for...

Re: shovelhead joe hunt mag question

My style of nose cone is different also. My mag adjusts at the plate that the mag mounts to with a stud and nut. I am assuming that by mag post you mean the mag mount and not the drive shaft. I...

Re: 2 front head twin linkert 50 panhead pics

Nailed it Scott. Did a compression test before I tore it down (per Jaws, thanks) and only had 30lbs. Took the head off and it was sucking oil from the drain hole. I run those blue James gaskets is...

Re: First Harley, first ride...

Cookie it's good to be scared, not being scared is the bad way to start. Scared makes you careful and alert. I was scared shitless when I started, 57 sportster chopper long girder and no front...

Re: NZ Shovelhead build

Been down that road of buying a shiny piece of shit and finally saying fuck it. Chop it and redo everything. I have frame jig envy. Oh yeah, bike is looking killer and love all the large detail...

Re: 2 front head twin linkert 50 panhead pics

Got a quick question. I started having a problem on my front cylinder with the spark plug fouling, sooty black. Rear cylinder looks beautiful. After switching carbs front to back the problem...

Re: Chopper legos part duex

Been there done that on setting up a mag. I first put a mag on my pan about 13 years ago and there was little to nothing on the net how to do it. None of my friends knew how and the graybeards I...

Re: Chopper legos part duex

Very cool pan, I too would ditch the sissy bar. Is the frame completely uncut? The rear brake set up is death. Love the look of the whole bike. Please let us know how well those lights work and...

Re: Cone Shovel Remodel

I vote for the duals those are seriously bitchin pipes. I always like 2 into one to end in something, like a cocktail shaker, or a fishtail. I think it looks weird when it's just a bare pipe. What...

Re: 1979 Shovelhead

Killer bike. I would stay with the 21. You have the tall 19 on the back and I think the 17 would look weird. Just my opinion which isn't worth shit.

Re: 1979 Shovelhead

Never had a problem with my mechanical rear, and no leaky wheel or master cylinder to make my bike yucky.

Re: Cone Shovel Remodel

Really liked the before look of your shovel (short front ends are kinda a sickness of mine).
