whatever, wherever they don't fit..they never do. they all need to be ground down or it will not ever be fully seated in the hole.

that's where I was telling you that you need to grind off some aluminum from the mount where it interferes with the bumped out part of the cam comer....
ok imagine it is a clock face... 12 o'clock...

it's not necessary for a Hunt mag or an electronic ignition....only the stock points ignition.
if you try to file a slot in the Hunt taper drive you will play hell ever getting it timed correctly....

that "little nipple in the bottom of the cam" .....take a sharp punch hit it with a hammer as so to shear it off.
then typically you need to sand off some of the mount plate up in the upper left...

On a unit Triumph cam cover the Hunt mag mounting plate often needs to be clearanced a bit up around the 11:00 position to fit into the cam cover.
Just keep sanding off material until it finally...

The only problem the pre-units have with a Bob Newby belt drive is a bit of premature belt wear.

I always use ATF as fork oil,
the reason I like it in older forks is because it has an anti-foaming agent and is 20wt oil.
your fork oil may be getting all foamed up and pushed out.

with a 3 phase 200 watt 3 three wire stator actually puts out less power at low rpm than a 120 watt 2 phase 2 wire stator !
the reason is it takes more revolutions for 3 phases to pass over and...

if you really are just getting some low voltage reading, either something is wrong with the charging system or the metering ..so... fire it up and see what happens.
