I cant speak from experience on this but I just bought a Cycle electric for my 51 Pan. I believe if you read through all of their info they recommend using an oem gear. Maybe this is why?

There should be or would have been a hose barb at a 90 degree angle similar to what is on your oil pump attached to the end of View from back of primary

I bunged up some of the hardware getting it apart to cleanup and lube, any suggestions or will i need to get someone to machine up some stuff. Does this have much value, i think I bought it right?...

Thanks, it's what I thought but wasn't sure. With it spaced out to proper belt alignment I am sure I will still bite all threads on the shaft with the pully nut! How many ft lbs should be on that...

I don't know! I haven't had the rockers off. Whole motor appears to be rebuilt, fresh bore new pistons(domed), polished rods and these heads. Just trying to figure out how to proceed with it

Someone else told me it was an old hot rod thing for better oil flow and cooling. people would connect the 2 and drain them to the timing hole. Is there any value in doing this? They are on a panhead...
