When something breaks I get a custom part. Also on a 1500 mile ride last year my regulator gave out and cooked two batteries many states away from home. Yes you've convinced me a mag is the only way...

Man fuck batteries, put em on your bike. I take em off mine. I find beauty in simplicity when it comes to motorcycles. I may not want a hand crank starter on my pick up but I'll stick to the basics...

No it only smokes after sitting a couple days. about 10k on the pistons and heads. It runs great never smokes unless I park it for a few days. Im going to look into a mag and re jetting the carb

The first 8 or ten kick are with the fuel/ign off to pump oil into the lifters and provide a charge for the capacitor. When running the bike every day or two I have no problem getting it to start on...

So guides? Its got a kick only setup, isn't white smok a carburation issue. Maybe Im flooding it with the extra kicks it takes to start it after sitting for days

Its got to be a 45 the BT side valves were out of production by the late 40s. Unless it's an Indian. No way I'd trade a 40HP ironhead for a 20HP WL.
