Re: Dale Walksler has died
Didn't know him, but have known advocates like him, and they are also sorely missed. Hope his legacy lives on.

Re: OIF Triumph semi-restoration
Good idea I think i'll try that. I know if I have heated metal somewhat warm before I spray it seems to look better and dries quicker.

Re: NZ Shovelhead build
Just gazing at the bike again. Beautiful build and I can't believe how shinny it is and not a thing out of place. Now go get some dirt and oil on the bike.;)

Re: 50fl
Guess just not that popular in my part of the world. Do much shit on the roads, its bad enough with a 3.00 x 21 speedmaster. I do like the look of the tire reminds me of old traditional rods.

Re: 50fl
That's what I was thinking, but I'd like to know more about it, haven't seen one on a bike before. Looks like one of the tires used on old dry lakes cars.

Re: Powder or paint?
Thanks for the tip! Definitely going to give this product a try. I will try it first on some touch up on the car and if it works I'll use it on the bike frame this winter.

Re: My 73 Triumph build
I think you may have trouble with that front brake. Especially when you need it most, on hard stops. The caliper should be fixed to the axle for best results and an arm attached to the...

Re: My 73 Triumph build
Well, I would say that's a real decent job. Lots of nice little details to look at.
Curious how the clutch twist grip will perform, and the one pedal brakes. Comments would be great.

Re: Stroker question
Did that years ago on a shovel with 4 1/2" wheels after running 10:1 for a couple of years. The bike became easier to start and saved money on tickets. The bike ran great and still had plenty of go...

Re: The Toad... '78 Shovelhead
As Dutch noted, i too like "the barn fresh look" you are going for. True mechanical art. Even the new parts, you have aged to perfection, please explain the technique you used on the nose cone a mag,...
