Running a bead around the inside of the of the race is an old school trick used on heavy equipment for at least 40 years that I know of. Heat the case and freeze the race, samething. Trying to bust...

Every bit of info I have is they work fine depending on the application.

I have 3 different drum brakes destined for different uses.

'56 T110 7" twin leading shoe w/on a complete front end.
