Just added an HRS 42 to a Buell , the Mik does have a crisp response and the Installation was easy, I did have an issue with the OEM cables and had to retro fit a shorter Sportster cable.. I'd shop...

if it was previously rebuilt, the butterfly plate can be backwards? the edges have a slight angle to them and cannot be reversed,
check brass throttle plates first, a magnifier does wonders to look...

1970 had a longer Main Shaft than the early trans as well as a double bearing clutch shell basket, not interchangeable, there are a total of 4 rods needed, some of the rods 'right side to center rods...
