I know the 66-69 shovel trans has a shorter mainshaft than the later shovel trannys do. But can I mate a early shovel tranny to an 80s motor using a belt kick only? Without changing mainshaft..

Well I read somewhere that Harley produced lots of replacement cases with numbers in the sixties,also seen curved 6's in the sixty's . I lightly hit the numbers with sandpaper for the pics.So I'm...

Be H's or 7's behind the rear jug also? I just read that somewhere tonite.. There are no grind marks there. Just ruff casting...

Wonder how it got titled and registered previously,got the last reg and copy of bill of sale from the dealer who sold it to the guy I bought it from..even shows up on vin check..strange...

I have a 66 shovelhead case numbers are 66flh 88xxx. My question is on the belly #s.. They are stamped 66. Nothing else and there are no 7s or Hs. Any clues? Ran the numbers and they come back good...

probably why the cases were painted black.got to admit the vin numbers LOOKED pretty good. This guy inherited the bike from his dad and really dont know much about bikes.actually i been buggin him...

All it should ever come down to is if the vehicle is reported stolen or junked. ask DMV what they need and if you dont have what they need ask what you need to provide them. There are usually forms...

also for $25 bucks the owner can file for lost title needs to be noterized.. Have him sign and get it noterized if your worried. any car or bike dealer can usually do it for you. I lose titles all...

Hey Tatoo , If you regestered it here all you would need is bill of sale and vin check. Your laws may differ. but no title needed here 1981 and older...
