A friend who has raced a Vincent Comet in AHRMA and built motors for others has used these vendors for Nicasil and says it is bulletproof. They should be able to help you.

He also brought Mighty Mouse to the US in 1978 and ran at Union Grove, WI and Atco, NJ. Tom Christenson helped him a lot on that trip.

My first bike, an otherwise stock A65, had those headlight brackets and they broke from vibration and weren't very practical. I never found a brand that would last.

The power of the engine pulls the top run of the chain straight. That's why the tensioners are on the bottom run so they have slack to work with, like here:

I wanted the claw to bend the ground electrode and I just trimmed my nails, so I can't confirm mine is .018".

Plug gap gauge

I lost my gap gauge recently and am trying to replace it. For my Lucas mag-sparked plugs, I need one with .018 wire probes (?) and all the new ones I can find are much bigger.

Any suggestions?

I believe that the G80C was a rigid bike and the S in G80CS meant it had a rear suspension. The motors were easy enough to swap around.
