Re: A Knuckton? A Norkle?

Re: heel toe shifter assembly on panheads

The one that is on your bike is the 65 and up lever.

The second pic you posted is the separate heel lever that was an accessory item. It was used on 64 and below models. I'm not certain, but...

Re: heel toe shifter assembly on panheads

Re: 46 U Bullneck Frame Question

I would post pictures of the casting numbers, etc. I agree with richbob that an old frame is going to have some wear and tear.

Someone like Eric (SpeedingBigTwin) might be able to offer some...

Re: 303 stainless suitable for axle

If you want stainless, then I fully agree about 17-4 pre-hardened material to start with. For turning, if you have good carbide inserted tools, it'll machine nicely. I spent a lot of time working...

Re: Muffler clamps for early shovelhead

V-twin has had a bad reputation for years in regards to fitment and also because of parts being made overseas, both well known.

It's not hating, if V-twin is the only one with the part you need...

Re: 68’ T120 with a CB350 front end.

Sure, there are better options.

But, maybe he has the parts and wants to make it work.

Re: First Pan, 49 E

Sometimes there are cracks in the system, but yeah, welcome. Please read the sticky's and manifesto. Go back and post an intro in the intro section, it's par for the course.

Re: Panhead VIN help...FLP???

Any other pics of the vin?

Does the vin on the title match the vin number you're showing in the picture?

Find out what is stamped by the rear motor mount bolt holes. 7's would indicate an FL...

Re: Panhead VIN help...FLP???

The only P you'd find in a VIN is on a '49 with a springer:

I tried importing the PDF file, but it's too large.

I tried linking the site address for the PDF, but it only shows the first page.

Just follow Joe's instructions above if you want to read...

Re: Lets get the record straight, LOWBROW.

You hit the nail on the head Jason.

In the one link that Joe provided, it shows how the AMF introduced CNC. It is highly likely that increased production and improved quality.

Re: Skinny swing-arm gennie shovel+pan chops

Hirsch's shovel is gorgeous.

Hank you mentioned Lowbrows split tanks, I believe that Lowbrow built this bike with those tanks and one of their fenders, kind of reminds me of a modern version of...

Re: 1977 Triumph 750 Bonneville What to do

Technically, he's not the owner of the "motorcycle". It depends on his bill of sale. But the title was never signed over and is still in Ohio's records.

Re: 1977 Triumph 750 Bonneville What to do

You did buy it without a title, so you knew what you were getting into.

I would try to talk with someone at your state DMV. Do you have a bill of sale? If so, does it mention the motorcycle or...
