Cool Re: Black rims for BSA

Oh yeah, an SOS pad or two, liberal amounts of water, a little elbow grease and that rim will look pretty good

That's definitely what I would do.

Cool Re: Norton Commando 1971 & Up Project

Good to go for the project as I found a fairly complete 1971 basketcase minus engine and sheet metal.

Still need front and rear fenders and looking for steel Roadster gas tank.

Cool WTB: Norton Commando Engine 750 or 850

I have acquired a 1971 Commando basket case minus engine. I would like to buy a 750 or 850 engine (non-electric start) that is a complete and together engine. In running condition a major bonus.

Cool Re: 1970 Sportster Clutch M/S Nut Torque ?

Cool Re: 1970 Sportster Clutch M/S Nut Torque ?

I got it torqued to 150 ft-lbs. The factory service manual does give the 150 ft-lbs setting on page 143. It actually says at least 150 ft-lbs !

Cool 1970 Sportster Clutch M/S Nut Torque ?

I am in the process of reinstalling the clutch components and the manual says 150 ft/lbs for the mainshaft nut. That is a lot, is this correct ? Am I reading it right ?

So far I have torqued it...
