Re: Triumph Throttle Cables

The chain clears the filter hose by about 3 inches. I road the bike last year with no problems. Actually, the only problem I had was the rough running but I fixed that by buying new carbs. Now if I...

Re: Triumph Throttle Cables

Thanks guys. I just feel like I've been beating myself up trying to get this right. I thought that the adjusters were the problem so I reversed the cable ends to put them under the tank so that there...

Pull out your throttle slides and see if they are worn. If so, replace them.

Re: '08 Harleys - No throttle cables.

A lot of the new cars are using this method. Its called drive-by-wire. It would be interesting to see how they do it on bikes. What will Harley do next, automatic mirrors?

Re: 73 triumph motor swap???

I put a 1972 Bonneville into a 1968 frame with no problem. I had to make my head steadies and use 60's style tranny plates but the rest bolted right up with no problem. Good luck with your project.

Tank vent or not

I'm repainting a tank on a 72 Bonneville, and I changed the gas cap on it to a sealed one. Should I still put a vent on the tank or will it be OK?

Are you talking about a heimed joint? Isn't the cable too thin for that? My concern is the sleeve, Shoudn't it have a metal end on it for protection of damage?
