The one that is on your bike is the 65 and up lever.
The second pic you posted is the separate heel lever that was an accessory item. It was used on 64 and below models. I'm not certain, but...

If you want stainless, then I fully agree about 17-4 pre-hardened material to start with. For turning, if you have good carbide inserted tools, it'll machine nicely. I spent a lot of time working...

Does the vin on the title match the vin number you're showing in the picture?
Find out what is stamped by the rear motor mount bolt holes. 7's would indicate an FL...
