Re: homemade side car frames and bodys... anyone building any?

Very nice hack!

I am using a Sputnick frame to build with and I would be very interested in how you changed over to a Sporty wheel.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Belltown, I don't...

Re: switch for headlight/taillight and brights

I just wire my headlight for high all the time so it is on or off, no low. The fools in the oncoming lane need to see me.

I also don't have any state inspections to pass, for my safety. ;)

Re: Throwout bearing upgrade

Eastern makes a repop and the one I got from them through Drag Spec. was good.

Aftermarket covers or re-enforced covers are the ones where there is interference with the bearing. I found a stock...

Re: Do all Ultima Transmissions have a sloppy feel at the shifter?

I have what they use to call a Chrome Horse, pre Ultima, tranny and it is so nice compared to a stock rachet top but it is the one with Andrews gears. ;)

I am happy with it.

Re: For the trike guru's

With all these guys saying it shouldn't be done, I think it must now be done! :p

Is this a stock servi car rear end? I guess it would have to be a differential axle to work.

On a tractor are...

Re: Indian Linkert question?

That slot could have been done on a broach, granted it would be like a coping saw blade and maybe even done by hand back in those days.

Re: Opinions on cam choice for Twincam

My .02, Dave Mackie 514. No spring work and designed for stock heads with no flow work. At 80 mph you can pass an 18 wheeler and not have to downshift.

I love mine.

Re: How do you Fasten your seat springs?

I use old valve spring collars. The Triumph ones have steps on them and the springs set on them just right.

Re: Cone Engineering Megs, exhaust thoughts?

I have a friend that has made a few 2 into 1 systems using their parts and he has nothing but good things to say about quality, service, and performance. These have all been on big twins.

Re: just about to send my bike off a cliff

I am not familiar with 84" stroker cylinders, are they stock or longer? You may need a stroker intake.

I have 2 shovels with the CV and both have nice tight fit between heads and intake.
