Looks like standard HD to me... it doesn't have the Pan-era reinforcement plate at the back, so either repop or Knuck.

Maybe I'm a bit stupid, then. Tipping this bike to either side does not assist in getting it started.

A float bowl with a tickler for SUs exists. Maybe I'll see if I can't scare one up.

That's prudent. Assuming your adjuster is about halfway into the pressure plate when the clutch is adjusted, you're probably good. Your pushrod does not show wear, bluing, or scoring,...

I can't see your picture of fibers and steels so I can't comment on that. Total stack height could absolutely affect what length clutch pushrod you need to get adjusted correctly within the range...
