compression releases will help from cooking batteries, and burning out the starter clutch is what I was always told...

maybe a bunk bendix ???

if its am evo trans, is there anything covering the jackshaft where it meets the ring gear?

that tab is required, torque is pretty light...10ft/lb at...

removed the oil pump to replace both worn out gaskets, and when I put everything back together, I was left scratching my head...trying to figure out what this dowel is, and where it goes...

once the tank is pressure tested...steam bathed out...its sealed with red coat...no rust. no leaks.

I originally had a morris on my 52. no grinding of the case was required, but a little detailed "trimming" on the back of the mag body was in order. You'd never know that the mag was shaved slightly...

yep...the sprocket was dished, albeit the less severe of the dished sprocket.
the bike was a mish-mash of years, but the frame/swingarm was a '79.

might have been using an early evo wheel, with...

always had much luck with a socket and a mini-sledge. Go slow, and straight. Never a problem.
