Have you confirmed that your valves are sealing up? Maybe fuel mixture is being pulled in at the wrong time and getting kicked out with the exhaust. Would explain the flames.

I had been gifted an inner primary support from Dale at mad jap customs back when they still made chopper parts. It was a blem they didn't want to sell. I combined it to fit with this alternator...
