Re: Vintage Fuel Drag Bikes

OMG, is that the fuel line?

Maybe the oil tank is small to get the oil warmed up quickly, then run for <11 seconds. 11 sec @7000 rpm is only 1300 revolutions!

Re: 18 rear wheel

Buchanan's used to provide a chart for figuring spoke lengths. I wonder if this would work?

Re: 41 el

I get the solid wire plug leads for my Lucas mag from Tractor Supply. Other farm stores should have the solid leads, too.

Re: 41 el

I time my Lucas mag using an LCR meter ($26 on Evilbay) , using the inductance setting. When the points open, the reading changes by an order of magnitude.

Re: XL/XR hybrid mutt

A friend who has raced a Vincent Comet in AHRMA and built motors for others has used these vendors for Nicasil and says it is bulletproof. They should be able to help you.

Re: Vintage Fuel Drag Bikes

He also brought Mighty Mouse to the US in 1978 and ran at Union Grove, WI and Atco, NJ. Tom Christenson helped him a lot on that trip.

Re: Triumph Picture Thread

My first bike, an otherwise stock A65, had those headlight brackets and they broke from vibration and weren't very practical. I never found a brand that would last.

Re: 1966 Bsa 650 on a budget
