one other note , i too have no timing lock hole in my cases, so i replaced the alt and stator with later ones that have the timing mark, yes it is a bit of a pain setting without the primary cover...

the front bracket to engine front mount area started in 66 or thereabouts. the clamp to clamp bar is a very nice idea and i'm going that route with the correct 64 lower that connect to the mount bolt...

those tubes look nice the way you did them. dunno if this will help or catch me some flak but i tried my 79 750 both ways , balance tube , and blocked tube. seems to idle better with the amal mk2...

.0045 is what my old manual says , the newer manual lists .007 . i know quite a few here have stated they use or prefer to go with the .oo45. works for me, but i'm a carpenter and a truck driver.....
