Awesome, I didn’t realize it was that shop! Jeff moved to upstate NY with his wife and makes some pretty mean maple syrup now, pretty sure he keeps at least one bike in the middle of the living room....

Re: 67 Genny Shovel

Looks great John. Sorry to hear about the surgeries but it sounds like you're on the mend. Always liked the way a gen shovel looks in a stripped down swinger frame

Re: Cone VS Genny

Jason that motor looked so tough with the snap mag on there! Any reason why you went back to points.

Side note: jealous of that space you had in NYC and I always forget how badass Jeffrey's Evo...

Super E manifold bolt

Does anyone know what size the two bolts are that connect a Super E carb to the intake manifold. Somehow lost both of mine on a ride this weekend. Was able to scrounge one too long bolt from a friend...

Thanks for the links! Ive heard this before regarding old glass and new gas. Intent with the Tracy is two fold: use the original to make a mold off of to remake with modern glass/polymers, and to...

Gen Shovel Oil Pump

Hey all. In my ignorant rush to get my bike built and running a few years back, I never too the time to pull off the oil pump to check the condition of the gaskets. Well, now I am paying the price....

K Model front Brake

Looking for a Sportster K Model front hub and backing plate (see photos attached for reference). I do not need the rim, spokes or a complete wheel, but wouldn’t turn it away for the right price.

Re: 1947 ul

Congrats on the buy Rhys! I saw this bike two years ago in Jersey when it had a knuckle (i think) in it. Lots of cool details, especially that stargub invader

Re: Untitled 51 Pan

Nope I totally agree with what you're saying. I'm playing down the importance of this piece but if you study the diagrams, the variance is quite small. The length of the lower dampers are the same (I...

Re: Untitled 51 Pan

Thanks Nick. Was glad to see your bike back in action as well!

Not much to report on my end, other than successfully pulling the proper lower fork sliders off of my donor pre-unit front end to fit...

Re: Reinventing the not so new wheel!

Rhys, the bike looks awesome! As mentioned before, it has a very 70's aesthetic going with the short rear tire and tall front end. Tough as hell if you ask me!

Re: Best clutch upgrade for preunit Triumph?

I’m assuming here, but just by gazing at the diagrams a PU basket is likely shallower than the unit basket. Ive also never mic’d the plates on either of my triumphs but is there a thickness...

Re: Untitled 51 Pan

Yep, totally hear what you’re saying here shovit. Real intent last night was to double confirm that I extended the stem the correct length and see how it looked. The tubes are definitely not stock...

Re: Untitled 51 Pan

Thanks for the feedback guys, and I agree, there is definitely a little concern with the triumph front end but it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while. Any digging around I’ve done seems...

Untitled 51 Pan

Well, it's been about a year since my red 69 Shovel has been completed. Had to deal with a total top end rebuild over the winter after discovering some backwoods machine work, but it's a reliable,...

Re: 33.4 mm fork/axle question

PM coming your way. So far I have cut the stem and extended it to be long enough to engage the top nut with the top tree on. But another article never hurts!

Re: 33.4 mm fork/axle question

I kind of love that the K model front end/brake looks like a pre-unit front end. I have an obsession, and am currently working on fitting a PU frying pan front end onto a straight leg rigid. I would...

No ID Linkert

I picked up a nice ‘51 HD motor and trans a few weeks ago for a future project and am just getting around to starting the tear down/full inspection. The motor came with a Linkert M carb but it oddly...
