A50 BSA down one cylinder - how come?

So I got my A50 running today. The coils are good, the points are good, the carb is good, the plugs are good, but it's still down a cylinder. I'm guessing it's mechanical? What should I check first?

bsa wiring question "sparks box"

So i have the lowbrow diagram in front of me and am trying to understand how to run a sparks box and a stock ignition with two coils and no boyer's box. any ideas???? i am lost.
