I've had the clutch hub liner make strange groaning noises when the rivets go south. Only when slipping the clutch away from a dead stop though.

I'd say number 2 as it's time to ride. However pick up those heads and shelve them for later. They appear to be well done from here. Those heads scream for Sifton Barracuda cams if you can find a set.

Seat looks good. Isn't that what's called Alcantra? I've never seen one in person but that's the appearance the photos I've seen have. No matter it looks fine.

When trigger is off center it weakens the spark as well. Shortens dwell on one cylinder reducing saturation. If the coil is marginal the effect is amplified.

That's what joe49 referred to above when checking both sides of the lobe. Until he said that I had forgotten all about it's possible effect on timing.

They are very different when it comes to generating ignition spark. The cone motors running mechanical advance attach directly to the end of the cam via a long bolt. Between concentriclty of the hole...

It's been awhile since crank parts were sold with the Accel name on 'em. I cannot remember hearing anything bad about them.....really anything at all. In the end if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Not a fan of additives other than limited slip stuff for the lockers in the Jeep. Tend to purchase specialized lubricants for the job at hand. Then again I am a picky fucker. :D

Zinc is sacrificial thus you've already got a problem when it is useful. It's a good component but not to be relied upon.


If zinc phosphate is for you try BradPenn oil. It's the old green...

An 80 weight gear oil is just a bit less viscous as a 30 weight engine oil. The numbers come from different testing methodology.
