Re: This one is it

Any negative criticism of this bike should be backed by a picture of the contributor's superior build.

-Superiority in trueness to period show bike design
-Superiority in fabrication...

Re: JJ's "lil" Fifty

Custom parts are good when they're cooler than factory parts. By cooler I mean have better lines, work better, etc.

Everything you fabricated on that Pan is less cool than the factory part it...

Re: aviation fuel?

Those words on a few well placed billboards in this country could probably save a whole lot of people a whole lot of money.

Re: My first "barn" find(s)

I don't think there'd be anything wrong with running some pre-Unit bars on that bike. They'd be narrower in the riser area and they'd look a lot better.

Talk to Mike D, the guy who does the Born...

Re: My first "barn" find(s)

I bet if you get after that with the rubbing compound, wax, Armor All, leather treater, and chrome polish you'll be amazed by what's there. Detailing and going through the bike mechanically seems...

Re: Rocker clutch question regarding

1. No, they're not.

2. Regarding Lee's though, they do have an advantage over modified rockers when running mid.'s because you can set the Lee's arm up to be directly below the ball of your foot. ...

Something like this is hiding in that bike.

Re: Gen Shovel exhaust question...

Anything other than running a squish pipe will hurt your ground clearance and ability to turn right. Take a moment and look at the pipes Paughco makes for Genny Shovels. Those that don't run a...

Re: Wanted: Assistance finding stuff

Vintage motorcycles are expensive, require constant attention, and are less reliable than modern bikes. Do you want to ride or do you want to work on?

Re: jockey journalists travel to get pan

Seems like you're onto something with not completely changing it. A high or low mounted King Sportster tank painted to match the fender and a shaved front end would give it a nice feel. Drag bars...

Re: ironhead horsepower gains??

Around town fast or racing fast? Around town fast means you ride the bike for five years before doing a top end on it. Racing fast means you do a top end twice per riding season.

Around town...

Re: Advise on.....HOW LOW IS TO LOW ..

5 inches and that's for everything, not just your frame. Being limited by your lean angle and thing dragging and not your skills sucks.

Re: Why drag bars with forwards ??

A-fucking-men. I thought choppers were about riding and having the bike look good with you on it, not looking like a monkey fucking a football.

Drag bars can be comfortable if you set them up so...

Re: Flathead pricng and rarity/reliability of the BT versions

45's can be stroked and geared to run just fine. There's plenty of info. on here about it. WR's are based off them and rumor has it they did OK on flat tracks for what, 30+ years? It'll help if...

Re: you have to excuse the tacky mess...

That seat is to that bike what a hairy mole is to the cheek of a beautiful 19 year old girl with perfect tits and a great ass. Everything else about the bike is very nice.
