Cant tell you how many 1969 HD's I've gone to look at that have 1970 VIN's on frame and engine but registered as a 69.
Dealer sold it in 69 so they got registered as one but man does it bone you...

She has a wee bit of rake......Ive moved it around many times and sat in it....real challenge as its not as big as it looks.

Looks like its all there. The bushings were bronze and wore real well. Truthfully nothing moved all that much most of the time. Our springs were wound for us by a vendor in SoCal they are not HD....

Typically that 12 would mean 12 over but as you said, and I have said forever, 12 over what? Trust me we didn't go 12 over each and every models stock length as they were all different...HD, Honda,...

As a follow on to this a bit of history.....these were cut by a vendor of ours that made aeronautic parts, they came in to us in great shape prior to chrome and were damn precise for the time period....

Oh Id for sure run it so long as you throw new bearings/bushings at it. Polish it up as others have suggested and run it. They ride real nice.

Personally I'd have machined up anything you need and keep it. Remember its now 40 plus years since these were built and they will only get more precious as time goes by. Same for the brake.
