Personally I would just hardtail your existing frame and stay away from the special construction hassle, nor would I use that hardtail kit you posted. I would look at Fab Kevin or the Haifley Bros...

Triumph dowel pin
Did a search but came up empty. I'm installing a Hunt mag on a unit Triumph and having no luck removing the dowel from the cam. Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated.

Simple green works really well for softening rubber, lot's of circle track guys use it when they are in a spec tire class. You could also try brake fluid I know that softens rubber as well.
