FWIW, my KZ1000 powered trike uses a Datsun axle with 3.55 gears and it pulls well.

American made Rokon used snowflake wheels on some of their RT340's and "specials". This one is c.1975 with a countershaft disc brake and automatic transmission. Pretty advanced for its time.
