I couldn't get the tool so I smeared it with silicone and tightened the end of the rocker shaft using a normal nut and a spacer to draw it into place. It does shave a little of the O ring off but...

So far the provisional arrangements are for the funeral to be held in Carlisle Crematorium 11am on Monday Jan 17th but we are awaiting confirmation of this. We should know by tomorrow. I will post...

Here it is. Looks like the washer is against the box and the spring between the rocker and the washer. Ive never had the rockers apart so...

I'll probably have my 77 apart on monday to re-torque my head down, i'll try to remember and take a pic of mine. If I get a chance i'll consult my workshop manual before that.

You just changed the oil right? If that is the case you should have oil through the oil ways and it should start to circulate immediately. You might have developed an air lock in one of the lines....
