help needed

I installed a bob newby belt drive system on my 67 triumph TR6. The issues I am having is the hole where the chain tensioner abutment use to be installed now leaks oil. I tried driving out the abutment from the old chain-tensioner and reinserting it back into the hole in the primary, but it wont stay. It's very loose and falls out. Any suggestions on what to do?

a quick fix would be a smear of metal putty, aluminum based, but
you need to remove any oil from t'ole.maybe one of the oil free electrical cleaners in a rattle can should do.. trycoethilene ?(spell check)

Sometimes they crack on the case where the plug goes in. You can run these without oil no?

Some are wet dry , some are made for oil. I assumed your using oil because they're is no place for oil to come from a dry primary except crank seal or trans mainshaft bushing .all those tensioner parts don't penetrate the crankcase sounds like something is leaking.

Since im running a dry belt the chain tensioner was removed which the abutment did insert into the case and plugged that hole and thats where the oil is leaking from...
