Biography

It all started one mid-summer Saturday morning in '56 when young Johnny Hayes, just mustered out and welcomed home from some place called Ko-reeuh, pulled in the clutch and rolled the big blue and white Pan head 'Glide to a stop in front of our house on Flat Rock road. Chrome glistening, enamel paint Simonized to a brilliant luster, handlebar grip tassels swaying in the breeze and I could not breathe! God's Thunder and Lightening on two gleaming wire wheels. I was six years old and it still seems like yesterday. Fast-forward fifty years and I'm taking delivery of MY Electra Glide in Blue. A boat-load of scoots in between, but nothin' like the 'Glide! We all aspire to an FLH!
Yeah, I'm plannin' on a self-built chop or bobber project soon. That's why I'm here! Thanks for this site an' I'm GLAD to be here!!!
