- first dragraced yamaha 250 twins in 1969 then ran the then new 750 honda as a 1000 in 71 in a altered class running 10.90 back when action four was going exactly the same et. ran a yetman framed routte finless barrel alky burner in 74. I worked for performance cycle in metarie LA from 72to 85 where we first bought TC christensons original hogslayer twin and ran it for two years then built the triple norton in 77 and ran it till 80 when the blown 4 cylinders took over. I owned the hogslayer twin as well as borris murrays lenco twin rig for a year before selling it back to duke mcdonald who didnt return it to b orris like he promised to do. anyway I built a blown suzuki single in 84 85 that I sold to go into business and after a few owners the remains ended up in borris murrays posession after duke destroyed it. I still have hands on having helped Gary Tonglet with his championship winning suzuki pro stocker that Le won with as well as helped in the construction of GT Tonglets new alloy frame rig. I was fortunate to have been involved in and with the drag bike scene throughout the 70s and met and befriended many of the greats of the sport. allen mavor .
